Prediction of activity coefficients at infinite dilution using matrix completion methods

Abstract
This thesis introduces a new prediction method for activity coefficients at infinite dilution, an important thermodynamic property, that is based on matrix completion. Unlike traditional prediction methods, the presented approach does not require structural knowledge of the compounds in the considered mixtures. It is shown that this new approach outperforms the state-of-the-art prediction method for this property.
