Title

Modeling the aerodynamics of wind turbines for real-time simulation and control purposes

Abstract
In the present contribution, the modeling of the aerodynamics of wind turbines is analyzed from the control application point of view. Several approaches are studied taking into account their advantages for the design of the control system. The main conclusion is that the state of development of aerodynamic models of wind turbines for control design purposes is, at present, not sufficient to contribute significantly to the improvement of the control system performance.
