Towards a Smart Data Repository for the SDIL

We present our work towards a smart, community and crowd driven data repository in the context of the SDI-X project. The goal is to extend the Smart Data Innovation Lab (SDIL) towards a platform offering an extensive collection of Big Data datasets from various areas and sources of industrial and academic research as well as state-of-the-art hardware and software processing capabilities. We describe our concept for the planned repository as well as the intended benefits for the SDIL platform. Additionally, we explain strategies and tools for data curation ensuring a successful operation in the future.
