Title

Mechanical torque measurement during a wind turbine nacelle test

Abstract
Modern technology of the wind turbines have experienced a fast and comprehensive progress since the rise of the wind industry. Throughout the new technology development, new sources of measurement has been the important propulsion force. One of the new promising measurement is the mechanical torque of the drive train, which is also a very interesting and important measurement for a nacelle test in the laboratory. Various ways of torque measurement are tried out during one of the nacelle test campaigns. Important results are presented and analysed while different ways of measurement are evaluated accordingly. Suggestions are given for an accurate torque measurement during the nacelle test.
