Title

Dynamic stall simulations with open foam

Abstract
A numerical simulation of the NACA 63-415 airfoil has been conducted using the open source CFD tool OpenFOAM. The flow has been simulated for steady conditions between angles of attack (AOA) of = -4° and = 16°. For small fluctuations of = ±1.6° simulations in unsteady condition have been done. The results are compared to measurement results done by Bak et al. [1]. Further simulations of vortex simulators were done, as described in the report by Bak for the measurements.
