A close-range UWB SAR system concept for crop sensing

This paper considers the design of an UWB radar system in terms of parameters needed and necessary electronic components to evaluate the radar's suitability in estimating the crop index of barley ears. To achieve the spatial resolution needed to resolve the targets, the SAR concept is applied.
