SIGN - adapting navigation instructions to individual users

We focus here on the instruction component of navigation systems that take the experience and expectations of a user into account. The SIGN system that we present aims at giving drivers sensible instructions without being intrusive when for instance they already know a route. In other words, it adapts itself to the situations drivers are in and minimizes the set of instructions sent to them.
