Title
Matching eCommerce platform services with business models
Abstract
In this paper we outline an approach for combining business models into an overall business model, based on a cost-benefit analysis. The overall business model constituents are then mapped onto eCommerce platform components. Thus, we can determine contribution margins for individual or bundlings of eCommerce components. That provides a basis for forecasting and controlling the success of these services. Using the business model of the GeoMarkt. NRW B2B marketplace for geospatial information as an example we illustrate the approach.
