Title

Towards adaptive groupware: Dynamic configuration management of groupware applications

Abstract
Dynamic configuration management is the basis for adaptive groupware tools. We use the techniques of trading/ brokering of services from the domain of electronic commerce for configuring distributed groupware applications. Today's groupware market offers many groupware tools in several variations for different platforms. Within the configuration process the suitable combination of these applications must be determined. This can be supported by analysing the group situation, by generating requests to traders/brokers and by composing the distributed groupware application component by component. The result of this approach is a better conformance against the users and groups needs.
