Titel

High temperature creep and fatigue crack growth in alloy 800H

Abstract
The present paper reports experimental work directed towards the analysis of the potential of various crack growth correlating parameters to describe low cycle fatigue and creep crack growth in Alloy 800H at 800 degrees C. Centre-notched cylindrical and compact tension specimens are tested, applying static and various cyclic loading and control modes. Crack growth rates are shown to correlate with the cyclic equivalent of the J integral and with C integral under conditions of transgranular and predominantly intergranular fracture, respectively, irrespective of the specimen geometry and of the loading mode.
