The device (10) has a supply device for supplying cutting fluid, and a nozzle (18) for pressing cutting fluid i.e. carbon dioxide, staying under pressure and supplied to the cutting device during operation for producing a cutting beam (20). A chamber (24a) is provided for enclosing the cutting beam from its outlet from the nozzle till to its striking on a workpiece (22), where the chamber thermodynamically and/or flow-mechanically influences the cutting beam. The chamber is made from elastic material, where an end of the chamber is provided with a sealing device.
