Title
NANOKRISTALLINER SENSOR UND HERSTELLUNGSVERFAHREN
Other Title
Gas especially carbon dioxide sensor has a metal oxide nanoparticle containing sensitive layer.
Abstract
NOVELTY - A sensor for gas analysis has a sensitive layer containing metal oxide nanoparticles with a typical particle size of 3-30 nm. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a laser ablation process, in which nanoparticles are produced and vapor deposited in-situ on a substrate. USE - Especially as a CO2 detection sensor for monitoring room air CO2 concentrations for controlling air conditioning and aeration units, for continuous control of biological and chemical processes in environment and bio-technology, climate monitoring in greenhouses and for research into fossil fuel combustion, workplace safety and agriculture. ADVANTAGE - The metal oxide sensor has a higher sensitivity than conventional sensors, can be operated at lower temperatures (below 300 deg. C) and thus with reduced energy requirement, can be miniaturized and is inexpensive to manufacture.
