NOVELTY - The assembly to break down wood materials, with a lignocellulose content, has a filling shaft (1), a shaft (2) for impregnation and initial swelling using an impregnation fluid, and a shaft (3) for breaking down the materials. A conveyor (4) carries the materials from the filling shaft through the impregnation shaft. An extraction system (5) takes the broken-down materials from the final shaft. USE - The assembly is for breaking down wood materials such as chipboards and medium density fiberboards (MDF) of used and waste materials, to recover the chips and fibers. ADVANTAGE - The assembly is operated continuously, to give an uninterrupted flow of fiber and chip materials for continuous board mfg. plants.
