Title
Kraterbildung und Kraterauswurf bei einer Ringsprengung in sandigem Boden
Abstract
Considerations are summarized in this report, concerning the question: Is it possible to throw 20.000 metric tons of dry sand over a distance of 50 meters through the air and deposit this mass precisely in the center of a special; circular arrangement of explosive charges. The result is: The given mass of high explosive, detonated at the maximum cratering efficiency depth, produces a mass of maximum 2.000 metric tons of ejecta. The mass of 20.000 metric tons is not available. The discontinous crater ejecta disintegrates into a sand-cloud. The aerodynamic drag makes it impossible to throw the sand precisely into the center.
