Title

2D model of the transfer processes in S-traps with wash-coated monolith channels and fixed bed for the application of H2S chemisorption in a fuel processor/fuel cell system

Abstract
A two-dimensional model was developed for H2S chemisorption in different S-trap designs, including (i) ZnO coated monolith channels, (ii) ZnO fixed bed, and (iii) a new design. The new design was based on a modification of the monolithic reactor with adsorbent (ZnO) particles for filling the microchannels. The predicted concentration breakthrough curves were consistent with experimental literature data dealing with fixed bed and monolith S-traps.
