Databased product adjustments during manufacturing based on agile production and digital representation in shipbuilding prefabrication

In one-off production, such as shipbuilding, the continuing influence of customers and the parallelization of process steps lead to design adjustments during current production. A complete new manufacture of assemblies starting already is uneconomical and resource-intensive. A partial adaptation, however, requires an enormous amount of control effort. Therefore, this article presents a system-side approach for the realization of agile production for the implementation of necessary modification measures. A digital representation of the current production forms the basis for an optimized coordination of required adjustments as well as for the introduction of necessary production steps.
