Applications of SiC Devices

The benefits of SiC devices are demonstrated in different application. Therefore different power and voltage ranges from low voltage to medium voltage are addressed. The power electronic circuits are described and the results are shown. The first example is a 10 kVA SiC inverter for an online UPS system. The second example is a 1-MW grid-tied battery inverter. And in the third subchapter, different examples of applications or medium voltage power electronics with SiC devices with blocking voltages above 3.3 kV are shown.
