Abstract
Schedule instability in production networks is a highly relevant topic for practitioners and academics lacking research, especially from a network perspective. This paper addresses the phenomenon schedule instability in automotive production networks via an abductive case study approach. The objective of this paper is to: Present a structure of the different drivers influencing schedule instability, Present a model of the different mechanisms to tackle these instabilities, Derive the interdependencies between instability drivers and mechanisms.
