Title

Resilience, adaptation and transformation: Conceptual and empirical insights from two case studies in Germany and Chile

Abstract
This chapter engages with three different concepts shaping current attempts to deal with the anticipated negative consequences of climate change, namely resilience, adaptation, and transformation. These concepts are not only the basis for many policy-initiatives; they are also constitutive for more specific plans of actions and strategies, defining the future development, particularly of cities, across the globe.
