An asymptotic approximation for a three dimensional linear elasticity problem with Robin boundary condition in a thick cylinder

Abstract
This contribution shows the asymptotic approximation of the displacements and shear stresses of a three dimensional (3D) linear elasticity boundary value problem in a thick beam with Robin boundary condition at an end. The analytic asymptotic approximation is compared to the numerical 3D Finite element solution.
