Advanced polarization diverse coherent receiver using waveguide integrated MQW photodiodes

Abstract
An advanced concept for the monolithic integration of a polarization diverse coherent receiver (PD-CRx) on an InP waveguide platform is presented. Due to a serial connection of a MQW- and a PIN-photodiode, TE and TM light, can be detected separately.
