Abstract
Sustainability and competitiveness of next generation large scale aircraft structures will strongly depend on their environmental footprint along the full life cycle. This particularly includes design, materials processes and resources, manufacturing and production, lifetime services as well as recycling and end-of-life for disruptive concepts and innovation. This presentation provides an overview about the implementation of ecoDESIGN in the Multi Functional Fuselage Demonstrator as part of the Clean Sky 2 and introduces adapted LCA methodology and an approach to environmental results. Detailed presentations on contributing projects will be presented separately as part of the EASN Conference Session on ecoDESIGN and Sustainable Productivity.
