Transparent insulation - new concepts for daylighting and heating

Advanced types of transparent insulation materials have the potential to change buildings appearence in future. In contrast to conventional buildings, their appearence will be no longer of static nature but will change as a result of its dynamic reaction on external climatic changes. In addition to the conventional elements such as walls and windows, daylighting areas can now be designed to produce heat and light but avoiding thermal discomfort. Examples of new designs will be presented.
