Title
Meeting the Complexity of Industrial Requirements - Digital Learning Platform for Innovative Application Domains
Abstract
This study examines the use of digital learning factories in the context of mapping industrial requirements in general and digitalization and resilience in particular. The aim of the study is to bring together the two domains of digitization and resilience within the framework of a Value Stream Mapping (VSM) 4.0 and to validate the conceptualized value stream model using the Fischertechnik® Training Factory Industry 4.0 model as an example. Furthermore, the role and potentials of learning factories in the investigation of technological solutions in the production and logistics environment are highlighted. To this end, the first step is to describe the industrial challenges with a focus on digitalization and resilience requirements. The study practically focuses on the analysis of an end-to-end supply chain scenario, mapped in the Fischertechnik® Training Factory Industry 4.0 model, which is also used as a teaching and learning environment at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. Regarding the learning environment, initial implementation projects are highlighted and described using the example of a scenario for AI-based data acquisition. Finally, further use cases of the learning factory are outlined.
