Online processing for structural health assessment

Within this paper the description of a process for online structural health assessment is given. Such a concept presents one part of a general structural health monitoring system, which directly evaluates the effect of the monitored loading on the structure. Based on methods developed in the field of structural durability the described process shows a modular built-up to increase the flexibility and workability of the system. Two different kinds of monitoring data were chosen to collect information for an assessment of structural residual life time. The application area of the system is dedicated to the aeronautic sector.
