»Fraunhofer-Publica« unlocked for Open Access and Interoperability

"Fraunhofer-Publica" is the publication platform of the leading organization for applied research in Europe. Under the umbrella of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, more than 30,000 employees work at more than 76 institutes and research facilities at various locations both in Germany and worldwide. "Fraunhofer-Publica" has successfully documented the research results of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft for more than 30 years. Fraunhofer is also a strong supporter of the transformation towards open access and encourages its scientist to publish their scientific output in open access journals and books. In 2019, we made the decision to reinvest and reskill as an early adopter in a modern digital Open Source repository platform - DSpace CRIS 7. Our GoLive was in April 2022. In our presentation, we want to share with the community our goals and lessons learned in moving to a Next Generation Repository.
