Superharte amorphe Kohlenstoffschichten

Kohlenstoffschichten zeichnen sich durch die mit ihnen erreichbaren besonderen Eigenschaften und durch ihre strukturelle Vielfalt aus. Amorphe Kohlenstoffschichten mit überwiegend tetragonaler Bindung (ta-C-Schichten) haben durch die Kombination von extremer Härte und geringer Adhäsionsneigung ein hohes Anwendungspotential als tribologische Schutzschichten. Mit den gepulsten Vakuumbogenverfahren stehen industriell einsetzbare Technologien zur Abscheidung derartiger Schichten zur Verfügung.
