Abstract
Laser welding is more exactly as other joinig methods. One advantage is the higher speed of the process.The small seam of the welding requires high accuracy of positioning. A problem is the welding of car bodies and other 3D-parts. An intelligent sensor equalizes the difference between the programmed and the real shape in all directions. This article shows an automatic positioning system for laser focus with a portal beam guide
