Title

160 Gb/s all-optical demultiplexer using a hybrid gain-transparent SOA Mach-Zehnder-interferometer

Abstract
We report on a 160 Gb/s all-optical demultiplexer based on gain-transparent cross-phase modulation in semiconductor-optical amplifiers (SOA). The switch comprises a hybridly setup Mach-Zehnder interferometer with switching windows as short as 2.5 ps and an input power dynamic range of 50 dB.
