In den letzten Jahren wurden am Fraunhofer IPA viele generative Lösungen für Automatisierungsprozesse entwickelt. Möglich wurden die dort entstehenden innovativen Produkte erst durch die Nutzung generativer Fertigungstechnologien. Eines der herausragendsten Beispiele dafür ist der "Bionische Handling-Assistent", der in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Industriepartner Festo entstanden ist.
