Fabrication and assembly techniques for a 3rd generation wireless epiretinal prosthesis

Abstract
This paper presents the fabrication and assembly techniques of the EPI-RET-3 wireless retina implant, a medical microsystem for the electrical stimulation of the retina of the blind people suffering from Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP). The design of the implant is described, as well as the technical data of the microchips are given.
