Title
Exploring acceleration limits of the pressure cooker tests for the assessment of the lamination conditions on the module degradation rate
Abstract
Insufficient lamination can lead to delamination and increased performance loss. In addition to that, high industrial pressure exists to keep the lamination time short to maximize production. In IEC weathering tests, it may take several weeks of weathering to reveal performance loss due to lamination faults. In this work, pressure cooker tests (PCTs) have been carried out to reduce the weathering time compared to the standard damp heat test. However, the significantly increased temperature and humidity could negate initial differences in the degree of lamination. This study aims to ascertain the limits of hydrothermal accelerated stress testing for PV modules with insufficient lamination.
