Title

Resource-efficient design of precise electrochemical machining

Abstract
The design of the electrode geometry and the process parameters concerning to a precise generation of geometrical forms of workpieces results in empiric studies at most applicators of EC-Machining. These studies are high-grade inefficient as there are a lot of unusable test workpieces produced. At the end of the empiric studies a set of parameters is defined which is used for the following production. The efficiency of the process is not really considered because the specific material removal is insufficiently regarded during the process of choosing the parameters. The following study presents a system for the analysis of characteristics of different materials under real conditions of ECM. An efficient design of the ECM-process referring to the relevant fabrication task can be carried out on the basis of these material characteristics.
