Title

Histogram method for performance monitoring of the optical channel

Abstract
A new histogram method is proposed which can be used for identification of crosstalk and dispersion. It is based on a deconvolution method. Measured histograms for signals with inband crosstalk are investigated and the BER is successfully evaluated.
