Werkstoffcharakterisierung mit magnetischen Methoden
In industrial qualiy control the inspection of hardness and hardness depth is carried out destructively by means of hardness measurements and metallographic techniques. These techniques are time consuming and therfore mot suitable for on-line processing. For a nondestructive determinaiton of surface-hardness and hardness depth micromagnetic measuring techniques have been developed recently. Near-surface hardness as well as inductive hardness depth values in the range up to 3 mm can be detemined nondestructively using measuring quantities derived from the magnetic Barkhausen noise and the time signal of the magnetic tangential field strength. The nondestructively determined hardness values are within the range of respective industial specifications.
