Taxonomy of security

Nowadays the concept security involves many interpretations depending on the application area. This work is compound of several new concepts proposed wich associate the diversity of applications of the term security in information technologies. Those concepts are grouped in a hierarchical classification of security following the taxonomy in Biology trying to give an order form to the uncontrolled and amorphous use of the concept security. This classification is porposed as well as the study of security like an emerging science, a concept of security is one of the new definitions included this work. With a particular example, all levels of the proposed hierarchy were developed to explain the use of information technologies security in an enterprise.
