All-optical remote control using a pulse switched frequency converter
Abstract
All-optical remote switching of a 70 Mb/s modulated carrier using a frequency converter (DFB amplifier) driven by a fixed and a gated pump is demonstrated. The bistable gate is controlled by optical pulses.
