Investigations into the Heavy Metal Content of Biscuits. Determination of Lead and Cadmium by the Flameless AAS Method

Elf Muster von Dauerbackwaren wurden nach der nassen Veraschung in Druckgefäßen mit Tefloneinsatz mit Hilfe der flammenlosen AAS direkt auf Cadmium und Blei untersucht. Der Bleigehalt der untersuchten Proben lag im Bereich von 0,02 bis 0,07 mg/kg und bei Cadmium zwischen 0,01 und 0,06 mg/kg.

Eleven samples of biscuits were wet-ashed under pressure in containers with Teflon liners and examined directly for Cd and Pd by the flameless AAS method. The lead content of the samples was found to be between 0.02 and 0.07 mg/kg and that of cadmium between 0.01 and 0.06 mg/kg.
