Internet of Production - Turning Data into Sustainability

"Internet of Production Turning Data into Sustainability" is the guiding theme of the 30th Aachen Machine Tool Colloquium, held from September 22 to 23, 2021, providing ways to sustainable and resilient production in two parallel series of lectures with a total of 16 technical and keynote lectures as well as seven plenary lectures from science and practice. The present conference proceedings summarize the contencts of the presentations and make them available to the scientific community and the interested professional audience in the form of an open access publication. This book focuses on the question of how companies can achieve sustainability and resilience in the context of increasingly digitalized and networked production and thus secure their future competitiveness. The contributions were compiled and prepared by the staff of the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT together with renowned experts and speakers from industry and business, science and politics.
