Titel

Cell loss recovery algorithms for voice and implementations for third-generation mobile telecommunication systems

Abstract
This paper gives an algorithm for the reconstruction of lost samples of bandlimited signals and the proof that it is applicable in any case under certain conditions. The most important of these conditions is the requirement of oversampling, if the sampled signal is no bandpass signal, i.e., there is no gap around the origin in its Fourier spectrum. In the case of a bandpass signal the requirement of oversampling is unnecessary, as is shown. Many signals of technical interest are considered to be bandpass signals, as for example speech signals. The other condition is that only a finite number of samples must be lost. In practice the reconstruction of the lost samples can be done with arbitrary accuracy, depending on the numerical effort which can be rendered.
