Web-based e-services for manufacturing systems

The paper describes how the application of new information and communication technologies in manufacturing systems and technical consumer goods gives companies the possibility to create added value services in the usage phase. In this regard, a web-based platform allows tailor-made advanced e-services to be delivered to the individual customer. The paper describes the structure of this service platform and gives templates for evaluating the monetary benefit for all partners involved in the delivery of such services.
