Fraunhofer readies medical visualization system

The Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering IOF (Jena, Gennany) (www.ioffraunhofer.de) has received a second and third industrial contract with in the last 10 months for the development of customer specific, microdisplay-based systems for medical applications. The 60cm-diameterdome projection system is designed for ophthalmologie diagnostics. A prototype will be delivered at the end of 1Q'06, after about 10- II months of development.
