Title

Industry Perspectives on the Digital Product Passport: A Guide to Sustainable Value Chains From an Engineering Perspective

Abstract
Sustainability is a key challenge for business and an essential requirement for environmentally conscious and responsible use of limited resources. Sustainability is more than just protecting the environment and fighting waste. It does not necessarily mean doing without. For this reason, this paper aims to present the status and the industry's view of the Digital Product Passport (DPP), as well as the existing requirements, challenges and necessary data for a targeted use of the DPP in engineering from the industry's perspective. The objective of the study is to present the current status and understanding of the industry in the context of the DPP and to identify fields of action for further research.
