Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen wenigstens einer ersten Kompo-nente einer Batteriezelleinhausung für eine Batteriezelle, wobei das Verfahren auf-weist: a) additives Herstellen zumindest eines ersten Anteils der ersten Komponente der Batteriezelleinhausung unter zumindest teilweiser Herstellung wenigstens einer Ausnehmung in der ersten Komponente, wobei die Ausnehmung zur Aufnahme einer Zellinformationseinrichtung eingerichtet ist und die Zellinformationseinrichtung dazu eingerichtet ist, Informationen über die Batteriezelle bereitzuhalten und/oder zu ermitteln; b) Anordnen der Zellinformationseinrichtung in der zumindest teilweise hergestellten Ausnehmung oder zumindest teilweise additives Herstellen der Zellin-formationseinrichtung, sodass diese innerhalb der zumindest teilweise hergestellten Ausnehmung liegt; c) Fortsetzten des additiven Herstellens der ersten Komponente der Batteriezelleinhausung. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung eine Batteriezelleinhausung.
