Abstract
Diode pumped solid-state lasers with wattage outputs well into double figures, yet only the size of a shoe-box, have already found applications in printing, medical and measuring technologies, picture reproductions and material processing. Diode pumped solid-state lasers are currently being developed producing outputs running into several kW for industrial applications.
