Title

Phase behaviour of ammonia, nitric acid and particulate ammonium nitrate. The influence of the aerosol characteristics

Abstract
In the context of a field study into the ammonia and nitric acid phase partitioning the aerosol characteristics, i.e. size distributions, have been regarded besides concentrations of the chemical species involved forthe first time. Derivations from equilibrium are discussed in the context of degree of mixing, besides other. From estimations of the particulate ammonium nitratesurface to volume ratio and interdependence of the attainment of the interphase equilibrium and the interfacial area is indicated.
