Title

Towards Application Level Energy Monitoring for Green 6G Networks

Abstract
Monitoring granular energy consumption and resulting carbon emissions is critical for building Green 6G networks. In this work, we describe a method to monitor energy consumed by a mobile application in the mobile network. We achieve this by fusing data from cross layer telemetry techniques with container energy monitoring tools. We implement our solution in a 5G testbed and measure energy usage and carbon emissions per application.
