Rationelle Energienutzung in den Kommunen

In April 1989, the Minister of Economic Affairs in Nordrhein-Westfalia carried out a conference on "Energy conservation in communities" in which around 1,000 people participated. They came from communities, utilities, and other institutions. The conference should give an overview on the possibilities for communities to conserve energy: as owner-builders and users of buildings, as energy suppliers and owners of utilities, as decision makers with respect to energy supply concepts and urban planning and in its responsibility for waste disposal. The book contains the speeches of the plenary session, the presentations in three working groups including the discussions, and a summary of the concluding panel discussion. A brief introduction summarizes the main topics of the conference. A final chapter presents the results of a participants' survey.
