Microsystem technologies for smart golf balls

The process made in microsystem technologies over the last few years allows the technical realization of a new system concept for sensor systems. The goal is to build a sensor network from individual, self-sufficient and highly miniaturized Microsystems. These so-called ?eGrains? consist of a sensor, a processor, communication capability and power supply. They organize themselves into an ad-hoc network and can receive, process, store and send data on their own.
