Coupling general circulation models on a meta-computer

Sophisticated climate models, describing the circulation in atmosphere and oceans, respectively, have been coupled together. This has been done using two different remote supercomputers in an efficient way for the first time. Two state-of-the-art climate models have been chosen, a coupling tool has been adapted, and a new developed message-passing library has been used.
